Australian Mining Billionaire, Clive Palmer Behind $175million Titanic II - Plans To Turn Third Class Into An 'Adventure Holiday'

How Titanic II May possible Look Like

 Third class experience to include simplistic menus, cramped cabins and delousing on arrival in New York
 The replica of the ill-fated 1912 original is expected to cost in excess of $175million (£105million)
 Titanic II's maiden voyage from Southampton to New York is due to set sail in 2017, with the capacity for 2,500

The original Titanic Leaving Southampton on its first-and-final voyage

It was branded the unsinkable ship that had every luxury imaginable available to its wealthy passengers.
But the billionaire who is rebuilding the Titanic today chose not to boast of the lavish facilities for the privileged few who will travel first class.
Instead, Clive Palmer said that he was considering marketing third class tickets as an adventure holiday - complete with limited menus, cramped bunks and delousing on arrival in New York.

‘First class on the Titanic was truly unbelievable, second class was like our first class and third class - well third class was really third class’, he told news.com.au.
'The Titanic original design had an area under the water line two decks high and 40ft (12m) long simply marked "potatoes.'''
Period clothing will be provided to guests who wish to dress up for the voyage as there will be no access to television or the internet for entertainment on the 40,000 tonne ship.
Passengers may also be treated to Irish jigs and delousing upon arrival in New York though Mr Palmer conceded that they may simply be sprayed with a hose of confetti. 'We might offer to recreate the experience of those hopeful immigrants to America, he said.
The original Titanic struck an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912, while on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York with the loss of 1,517 lives. Many could have been saved if the ship had had adequate numbers of lifeboats.

Recreating the Titanic down to every last detail is set to cost the former mining magnate, who is now MP for Fairfax, Queensland, an estimated $175million (£105million, $197 Aus).
Titanic II is set to make its maiden voyage in 2017, will include air conditioning, a hospital, a helipad - and the appropriate number of lifeboats which were so tragically missing from the original. The liner is being built by CSC Jinling Shipyard Company in China.
Like the original, there will be room for 2,500 passengers. Both first and third class will have around 1,000 spaces with room for 500 people in second.

It is unclear if Mr Palmer will strictly adhere to the original blueprints for third class passengers in his new ship. Conditions in cabins are likely to be cramped but whether modern tourists will put up with 1912 washing arrangements is debatable. The first Titanic offered personal washbasins for its poorest travellers but only two bathtubs to service the entire class.
The designer of the new ship Markku Kanerva claimed at a press conference last year that it would be the 'most safe cruise ship in the world' with ample lifeboats.
He said that it had more than enough lifeboats and that the hull was stronger than the wooden original because it was made from steel composite.
However, Mr Palmer refused to claim it was 'unsinkable' and instead said: 'I think anything will sink if you put a hole in it. I think you'd be very cavalier to say something like that.
'I think people in the past have done that and lived to regret it.'
The blueprint for the Titanic II was unveiled in New York last year along with computer generated images of the inside.

They bear a startling resemblance to the 1997 James Cameron film about the ship, which starred Kate Winslet and Leonardo Di Caprio, and show that many of the original features including the famous Grand Staircase will feature in the new boat.
The six-day maiden voyage will take place in 2017 and will be be from Southampton to New York to 'complete the journey' started all those years ago.
Just like in 1912 there will be three classes of passenger and those with different tickets will not be able to move between the classes.
Professor Palmer outlined his bold vision in which the Titanic II would be 'carrying the hopes and dreams of people everywhere' and represent 'the reconciliation of man'.

There will be capacity for 2,435 passengers and 900 crew.
There will also be lifeboats that can carry 2,700 and a life rafts with an additional capacity of 800.
The original Titanic had just 16 wooden lifeboats that accommodated 1,178 people, one third of the total capacity.Professor Palmer explained that the ship will be 883ft long, which is three inches longer than the original.
It will have a tonnage of 55,800 tonnes compared to 53,210 of the original.
It will have a maximum speed of 24 knots, the same as the first Titanic.
Other original features which will also appear on Titanic II include the Turkish baths, the Cafe Parisien, the two 'Millioniare Suites', the Chart Room, and the quarters belonging to Titanic Master Captain Edward Smith.
For entertainment guests can enjoy the casino, cinema or shopping area.
The blueprint shows that there will even the same 'Marconi room' where the Titanic sent out its final SOS.
Whereas the original was built by the famous Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, in a sign of how times have changed the Titanic II is being constructed by state-owned Chinese company CSC Jinling Shipyard.
Professor Palmer refused to reveal how much he is paying to build Titanic II but claimed there had already been significant interest, including from celebrities.
He said: '40,000 people had registered for tickets on the ship's website with 16 offering between $750,000 and $1m to be on the opening voyage.'
He added that on the first trip he would be 'in third class twiddling the fiddle like Leonardo Di Caprio did in the film'.
Mr Kanerva, of Finnish boat designers Deltamarin, added: 'I can assure you that from a safety point of view it will be absolutely the most safe cruise ship in the world.'
'We are taking into account all of the possible incidents and accidents and we try to simulate all of those occasions.'
'Collision is the most common accident we are talking about'.
The launch, on the USS Intrepid moored on a pier in Manhattan, was met with a mixed reaction by relatives of those who survived the original sinking.
Helen Benzinger, the great granddaughter of Molly Brown, an American heiress who was on board Titanic, said that she was 'thrilled' at the new design.
The family of the Capt Smith however have said the replica is 'in bad taste'.

DJ News: Check Out The New Rane MP2015 DJ Mixer

Lots of new DJ gear has been unveiled at this year's NAMM Show in Anaheim, and one particularly noteworthy announcement is Rane's MP2015 Rotary Mixer. In the flesh, the unit is the epitome of class; its luxurious build quality sets it apart from the cheaper plastic designs we're used to seeing.
Rotary mixers aren't for all DJs - those who favour quick cuts or transitions will probably prefer the traditional format - but it's ideal for more lengthy, precise mixing styles that suit the cooler spectrums of house and techno.
We took time to craft a few blends on the show floor, and were seriously impressed by the sleek EQs and filters (switchable between three different types), inviting you to grab its weighty pots and take control of your mixes with accuracy and cleanliness.
Although scratch DJs and effect addicts might look elsewhere, the MP2015 is perfect for buttery-smooth blends and lengthy transitions, so the more progressive DJs should definitely investigate this mixer further.
Control, sound, reliability and durability distinguish Rane’s new techno house club mixer for high-end audio systems.
Born from a legacy of rotary club mixers beginning in 1971 with Rudy Bozak’s CMA-10-2DL, on to 1982 and UREI’s 1620, then in 1999 Rane’s MP2016/XP2016 combo, and now in 2015, the MP2015 represents the next revival and evolution.
With over 40 years of rotary mixer experience to draw on, along with collaboration and input from the world’s best techno house DJs, the MP2015 is the best mixer produced by Rane—ever. There are no compromises in the design. It has the best sound, the best features, the best feel, and the best reliability and durability.

Ronaldo's Newly-single ex Irina Shayk Displays her toned bikini body in New Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Issue

It's the first time she's been single in five years and she's claiming to be looking for a new man.
And Cristiano Ronaldo's ex Irina Shayk certainly won't be short of offers after the first seriously saucy images of her Sport Illustrated Swimsuit Issue landed.
Irina, 29, is too hot to handle as she poses topless in Kauai, Hawaii for the new campaign in a thong bikini, putting her incredible physique on full show.

Hannah Davis may be the new issue cover star, but Sports Illustrated model Irina is certainly giving her a run for her money inside the magazine, on sale now.
She models three San Lorenzo Bikinis in the latest smouldering snaps, turning golden beach goddess as she poses by the sea and on a cliff face.
In one image, newly-single Irina pulls a provocative pose, staring down the lens of the camera in little more than a necklace and bangles.

The model, whose single status was confirmed in January, looks perfectly toned in barely-there swimwear, her taut stomach on display.
A second shot reveals Irina's pert derriere as she turns to look over a mountainous landscape wearing a thong two-piece.
Showing an eyeful of sideboob, the model runs fingers through her wavy tresses and shoots a striking, sun-soaked side profile.
Finally, to give her footballer ex a reminder of what he's missing, Irina gets her hands dirty writhing around in the sand.
She extends her never-ending legs with a glimpse at the sea through a thigh-gap but steals the total focus from her paradise back drop.
Blue-eyed stunner Irina delivers a signature full lip pout with one side of messy curls just concealing her beauty.
Irina joins Hannah, Kate Bock, Emily DiDonato, and Lily Aldridge as stars of the 2015 Swimwear Issue.
But of all of them, Irina has the biggest point to prove after hinting at the reason her five-year relationship with Real Madrid star Cristiano, 30, may have ended last month.
Speaking to E! News on Tuesday, Irina said: 'What I'm looking for in a man is — I think I love honest men and I love a man who is loyal to women. I think this is the most important thing in [a] man.'

AFCON 2015: And Ayew Wept As Ghana Looses Dramatic Penalty Shoot-Out To Cote d'Ivoire As Drogba Celebrates

Ivory Coast won their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1992 in dramatic fashion, beating Ghana 9-8 on penalties.
Wilfried Bony smashed his spot-kick against the crossbar but the Elephants recovered in the shoot-out, eventually taking the title when goalkeeper Boubacar Barry saved from his opposite number Razak Braimah and then stepped up to score.
It was an exciting end to a game that had been anything but, with Premier League stars Bony and Yaya Toure unable to create enough to win the game in 90, or even 120 minutes.

Toure forced Razak Brimah into a save from an early free kick, and was generally more involved than he has been in the tournament’s previous games. However, once again, the Ivorian captain was less than the star we know he can be when played further forward.
Ahead of him Bony was even more frustrated, unable to get into the game and carrying none of the goal-threat that saw him become the Premier League’s top scorer in 2014. Time after time City’s newest striker failed to hold the ball, or to find a team-mate once he had got it under control.
Indeed, as has been the case for much of this season, the City stars were outshone for most of the game by a Chelsea counterpart. Christian Atsu, who has shown throughout this tournament why Everton made such an effort to secure him on loan this season, was the best player on the pitch for much of the game.

His excellent play on the right wing brought most of Ghana’s attacking joy, most notably when he got in behind and crossed for captain Asamoah Gyan in the 70th minute, only for the former Sunderland striker to miss his kick.
And it was Atsu who came closest to finding the net during the 90 minutes which occasionally promised much but eventually delivered little. The Everton winger struck the post with a lovely dipping shot that had beaten Boubacar Barry completely, but didn’t quite have enough bend to take it into the corner of the net.

The Heartbreaking Strike
The Black stars hit the upright again not long after, Andre Ayew getting in behind the defence and wrong-footing Barry, only to see his shot go behind off the frame of the goal. Those near-misses aside, neither side looked much like breaking the deadlock. Neither Barry, playing for the first time in the tournament in the absence of the injured Sylvain Gbohouo, nor Brimah was forced to make too taxing a save, even as the game ticked into extra time.
Asamoah Gyan missed his kick when well-placed, John Boye saw a header go just wide, and Jordan Ayew, off the bench to replace Cambridge United’s Kwesi Appiah, wasted a decent half chance for the Black Stars.
The Elephants, for their part, were once again content to sit back and let Ghana have the majority of possession, playing much of their best football on the break.

Gervinho was a menace from the start, running at defenders with the mix of skilful play and uncontrolled chaos that has become his speciality. The former Arsenal man, as is his way, rarely had much in the way of end product, but he was always a threat for the Ghanain defence.
He really should have scored in the second period of extra time, but took a poor touch when he was through on goal.
The one time that that Gervinho did pick the perfect pass the opportunity was spurned by Max Gradel, the winger who once plied his trade for Leeds. Following a dreadful mistake from Baba Rahman, Gradel was played in on goal, only to blast over from 15 yards.

It was the Ivorians’ best chance in a game noticeable more for the three red cards that didn’t happen than for anything that did. Asamoah Gyan was the first beneficiary, when he stamped on Eric Bailly off the ball, unspotted by referee Bakary Gassama. Gyan’s team-mate John Boye was equally lucky when he headbutted Eric Bailly in the second half, and Gassama again failed to notice.
A referee can only give what he sees, however, so both Ghanaian incidents, though wrong, can be understood. How the official contrived to let Serey Die stay on the pitch, however, is another matter.
There is no question he saw the kick to Wakaso Mubarak’s groin, which though not malicious was certainly painful for the Celtic man, and prompted a yellow card.

He also awarded a free kick when the Ivorian midfield cynically chopped down Atsu to stop an attack, but inexplicably decided it was not worthy of a second yellow card.
It was the closest we came to drama at Estadio de Bata until the shoot-out.
But as the remnants of the Ivorian ‘golden generation’ now know, waiting a long time for success makes it all the sweeter.

Health: Shaving Help Reduce Signs Of Anti-Ageing iN Women

It seems like every week there's a new cosmetics advert selling the "secrets of anti-ageing", but according to some skin experts it isn't a secret at all.
Men could have unwittingly been unlocking the "secret" for years now, and the best part is that it barely costs anything.
We're talking about... shaving. Every time a man takes a shave, not only does he end up getting rid of his stubble but he also effectively ex-foliates by getting rid of the top layer of skin on his face.
Dr Michael Prager, of the Prager Beauty Clinic in London, is an expert in treating the signs of ageing, and told MailOnline: "From an anti-ageing point of view, home shaving has some effect.
"It’s like a mild form of microdermabrasion, so encourages collagen production, which reduces wrinkles. Whenever there’s trauma to the skin, collagen is stimulated to help cell renewal."

AND IF THE HAIRS GROWS THICKER????

if you already shave your legs, maybe you should start shaving your face too
Many women are told to avoid shaving their legs and go for the option of waxing so that the hair doesn't grow back thicker.
So does shaving one's face really result in the hair growing back thicker than before? Apparently not!
"The notion that shaving influences regrowth is wrong," Dr Prager says.
"Cutting off hair above the root won’t cause any feedback to the follicle, which is the live part that produces the hair and sits below the skin."

THE CORRECT SHAVING STICK TO USE

You can use a disposable razor, or you can use an electronic one, but many women choose to use the scalpel shape mini-razors with a single blade, due to ease of use.

Shocking: Girl Pours Acid On Boyfriend's P*nis After Sextape Leaked

A 25-year-old man can no longer use his penis after his 17-year-old girlfriend poured acid on his genitals to punish him for distributing a pornographic video he’d taken of her without her knowledge. The girl, whose name is known to African Eye News Service (AENS) but cannot be published because she is under age, attacked Humphrey Khoza with battery acid while he was drinking beer with friends at a tavern in Cork village near Hazyview, Mpumalanga, on January 17. “Everything happened in a blink of an eye because I saw her when she was coming with a bottle but I didn’t realise that she was carrying acid. She just angrily called me a dog. She asked how in the world I could have done such an evil thing to her. It was only then that I realised that she was talking about the video that I took while we were having sex,” said Khoza. Khoza said he had been dating the schoolgirl since December. “We agreed to have sex, but she was not aware that I was filming the sex using my laptop computer. I did not intend to show anyone the video and I still don’t know how it got onto social media,” he said. In the viral video that AENS has seen to verify the claims, Khoza is seen pushing the girl, who was in her school uniform, to the bed. She appeared not to notice that she was being filmed while they had sex. The remorseful Khoza added that although his penis would never work again due to the damage caused by the acid, he was lucky to be alive. He said he was advised to press charges against the girl, but doesn’t see the point. “Even if I press charges it is useless because it won’t bring back my manhood. Her being in jail will just ruin her future because she is still young and I do not have the energy to attend courts,” said Khoza. He now has to urinate through a tube and has to undergo surgery.
